• Left Stick: Steering
• R2: Accelerate
• L2: Brake
• Square: Handbrake

General Tips

• - Keep your foot on the gas. The only time you need to get off the gas is when you slam your breaks in front of roadblocks.

• - Drift through turns, by using your brake (not handbrake) and keeping your foot on the gas. You usually only need to tap the brake slightly ahead of the turn and then drift through the turn. Also, always slightly adjust your direction while drifting.

• - Never use the handbrake.

• - Avoid crashing into other cars.

• - Use nitrous to accelerate out of turns or during straights. Furthermore, you can use nitrous for additional control during turns.

• - Drive in the oncoming traffic lane to fill up your nitrous faster.

• - Drive in your competitor’s slipstream to catch up and/or overtake.

• - Look at your map to discover upcoming turns and shortcuts.

• - Use spike strips only if you are right in front of a opponent. Check your mirror.

• - Use EMP if you are behind a opponent.

• - Use road blocks and helicopters whenever possible.

• - Use the jammer if someone targeted you with EMP or a cop car is right in front of you.

• - Use turbo during long straights and towards the end of the track.
